Dear Artists, Contributors, Friends,
The Working Artist Launch Party is one week away!!!! (And you’re obviously invited).
Since last fall, Working Artist Magazine has featured honest interviews and spending diaries from creatives working across a wide range of disciplines. Since last fall, we've built an audience of 1,600+ Substack readers: mostly young artists, designers, musicians, writers, and cultural workers.
Now the magazine's growing team is building a resource hub with guides tailored to our readers’ specific needs, from affordable insulin to visa application advice. Beyond publishing a magazine, our aim is to foster community and freely share wisdom related to healthcare access, rent support, job security, financial literacy, and more.
Come celebrate the launch of our website and resource hub with the Working Artist team, our best friends, our worst enemies, and strangers who may one day become lovers.
June 26th, 6pm - 10pm, Detour Gallery (545 W 23rd St).
There will be free drinks provided by Lunar and Dio. Live performances from Maya Engenheiro, Natie, and The G Strings. Arts and crafts. Snacks. A really good time.
